I was asked once why I do wedding photography. It took a while to properly find the answer, but when I did, it could not have been simpler. The truth is, I do it because I want to help tell the story. To me a wedding day is more than just a day of rituals, ceremonies, and an open bar. It is even more than white dresses, gold rings, and black suits. To me it is the second act of a well written love story.
The first act consist of the first date, the first kiss, and all the time until he asks those wonderful words - "will you marry me?" The third act consists of the joint checking account, changing of the name, and the lifetime of love that soon follows. The first and the third can take up a life time - but the second act, well it may only be a fraction of that - but it's importance, meanings, and emotions can rival the two combined.
It would be a great honor to me to be able to play a small role in your second act. My goal is to be able to document not just the images, but also the laughter, the tears, and the love. Just as you give each other your vows - I will give my vow to you. I promise to document your love according to your vision and not just my own. To not be a burden in an already stressful time. To get to know you and form that bond so that you are both comfortable with me and most of all to treat your love as the well written masterpiece to be enjoyed over and over again as the years go by.
Below are small samples of Love Stories I've been privileged enough to be a part of.
